Pentaerythritol, an organic compound with the chemical formula of C5H12O4, belongs to polyol organic matter, is white crystalline powder, flammable and easily esterified by general organic acids. It is widely used in coating industry to produce alkyd resin, synthesize advanced lubricants, plasticizers, surfactants, medicines and explosives.
Pentaerythritol is mainly used in the coating industry, and can be used to make alkyd coatings, which can improve the hardness, luster and durability of coating films. It can also be used as the raw material of rosin ester for paints, varnishes and printing inks, and can be used to make drying oil, smoldering coatings and aviation lubricating oil.
It is used to produce alkyd resin, paint, printing ink, resin, tallow, grease, Dynamite, plastifier, stabilizer, cosmetics ect.
