Application
Zinc Borate is one environmental friendly halogen-free flame retardant. There are some formulations of XZnO.YB2O3.ZH2O, in which Zinc Borate anhydrous is called ZB-23 (2ZnO.3B2O3). Mflam ZB-23 is stable up to 600ºC, so it can be used in polymer systems requiring very high processing temperatures. It can be added into extruders, calendars, or injection molding equipment. Mflam ZB-23 is used as a flame retardant and smoke suppressant in some polymers, such as polyetherketone, polysulfone, fluoropolymer, polyester and nylon, etc.
