Melamine Cyanurate (MCA) is a halogen-free, environmentally friendly nitrogen series flame retardant with a CAS registration number of 37640-57-6. The compound is synthesized from melamine and cyanuric acid through a specific chemical reaction and has two forms: powder and granules.
Mflam MCA is a non-halogenated flame retardant, especially for PA6 and PA66 to achieve UL94V-0. It is also suitable for other polymers, such as polyurethane foam, polyester, electrical and electronic applications (connectors, switches, housing, etc) made from TPU and other elastomer.
