Application:
Mflam 1520 is a halogen-free intumescent flame retardant for polyolefins with phosphorus and nitrogen as the main flame retardant elements (the system does not contain APP); it mainly plays a flame retardant role in the formation of carbon and expansion flame retardant. It has high flame retardancy efficiency, good thermal stability, no precipitation, good water resistance, light aging resistance and low smoke and non-toxicity. PP treated by Mflam 1520, can reach UL 94 V-0 (0.8mm), and pass the 70 °C 168 hours water immersion test (UL746C), while passing GWIT 900 ° C and GWFI 960 ° C glow wire test. Mflam 1520 can also be applied to glass fiber reinforced PP, can reach UL 94 V-0 (0.8mm).
Better machemical property.

Advantage:

Mflam 1520 is especially for glass fiber reinforce PP, with higher process requirements, since it is higher heat stability than Mflam 1420.

Recommended dosage:

Polymer pp PE
Mflam 1520 3.2mm: 22-24% 3.2mm: 28-30%
Dosage% 1.6mm: 25-28% 1.6mm: 30-32%
  0.8mm: 28-32% 0.8mm: 32-35%
Flame Retardancy UL 94 V-0
PS: it can be added 10-30% fiber glass in PP.

Shipping Information:
The package is 25kg craft paper bag or on customer's request, and can be loaded 17.5mt with pallet in 1x 20'FCL.
Remarks:
  1. The initial thermal decomposition temperature of Mflam 1520 in air is about 280 °C,  so the processing temperature of the twin-screw can be adjusted according to the specific conditions to enhance the dispersion and enhance the plasticization effect. A certain degree of hollowness must be maintained during the twin-screw extrusion process.
  2. When Mflam 1520 is used in PP, it is not recommended to use a combination of strong shear screws.
